Bodie, California

This is Bodie, or rather remains of Bodie. Only about five percent of the buildings it contained during it's 1880 heyday still remain.

Today, it stands just as time, fire and the elements have left it, a genuine California gold-mining ghost town. Designated a state historic park in 1962, it is now maintained in a state of "arrested decay". - Excerpts from the park brochure

The Mitchells

I was taking pictures at a children's soccer game. Pat (I didn't know him then) came up to me and asked me if I could take some pictures of his kids.

October, perfect time of the year for headshots. I scouted a local park for the perfect light and a background with fall colors. It was perfect.
